| Lackawanna County Commissioners are planning to build a 3,300 sq.ft welcome/orientation center at the Coal Mine Tour at McDade Park. The project is funded through a grant from Housing and Urban Development. A grant from Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority will help develop the inside interpretive exhibits, exterior exhibits and a maintenance facility. The new center is expected to open by the fall of 2006 and will be more handicapped accessible. Friday, March 31, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. McDade Park, Scranton
