| Scranton, PA-Attention Gardeners! Do you want to learn how to grow a healthy green lawn? Unsure how to prune or care for your trees? Want to learn how to turn kitchen and yard waste into black gold? Come spend the morning with the Penn State Master Gardeners and Get the Dirt on Gardening. This informative workshop will be held Saturday May 6, 9am-12pm at the Penn State University Scranton Worthington campus. The cost is $7. Enjoy free refreshments and a bake sale. Stop by our plant sale and pick up something for your garden. Each household that attends will receive a free compost bin (valued at $55). To receive a registration form contact Penn State Cooperative Extension in Lackawanna County at 963-6842. Registration deadline is April 28. Program limited to the first 100 registrants.
