| Established in 1997, the Hotel Tax Office was created to collect monies generated from the renting of rooms by hotels & motels throughout the county. |

| Tax money collected is used by the County to aid in the support of County owned tourist & recreational facilities as well as the designated tourist promotion agency for the County.
