Our goals: - Continue expending the Agency foster home program to include therapeutic interventions by private providers
- Continue the development of an agency Policy, Practice and Procedures Manual.
- Emphasize a coordination of human services delivery.
- Continue collaborating with the Lackawanna County Family Court to expand the role of mediation and court intervention in truancy issues while streamlining the dependency process.
- In conjunction with the Lackawanna County Family Court, work to create a “Center for Success”.
- Continue working with OCYF and PCYA to improve recruitment and retention or workers.
- Continue involving agency and provider personnel in appropriate Competency-Based Training as well as CWEL program.
- Create a specialized Child Welfare Master Program working with the University of Scranton. This will include offering students from foreign countries an Agency experience.
- Continue working with the University of Scranton work group to address the problems of English as a Second Language and Cultural Competence.
- Help create a statewide child welfare database in collaboration with the Department of Public Welfare.
- Locate and implement an interim database until statewide database can be created.
- Implement, with other involved agencies, the latest regulations pertaining to: HIPAA, IV-E and Medicaid invoicing, TANF, Managed Care, Best Practice to maximize IV-E reimbursement.
