County roads stretch from Carbondale Twp. in the north to Montage Mountain in the south. Work performed by Roads and Bridges includes snowplowing and salting, filling potholes, maintaining storm and drainage pipes, black topping, repairing guide rails and installing signs. The department is also responsible for 151 bridges. This includes keeping water ways open, repairing & replacing bridge decks, railings, guide rails and sidewalks as well as replacing culvert pipes and bridges. |

- Elmhurst Bridge #1 - new decking after bridge collapse and built temporary road
Cooperative Agreements: - Carbondale - equipment, manpower and technology
- Scranton - equipment, manpower and technology
Snow Removal Assistance: Tram: County workers fixed a tram that was left in disrepair by the previous administration. It was found down an embankment, covered with overgrown brush. The Tram has been used for community parades and events in the following municipalities: - Mayfield

Technical Assistance: - Roaring Brook Twp - new pipe work; provided an operator and technical assistance
Temporary Bridges: - Aston Mountain Road (Springbrook Twp)
- Bridge Lane (Newton Twp)
General Road Work and Maintainance: - Elmhurst and Dunmore - Elmhurst Blvd storm drain clearing and road widening, increase line of sight
Other: - Partnership with Kane Trucking for cleanup of the Stauffer Industrial Park in Taylor
- Installed new sewer and water line to the new Coal Mine Museum
