Scranton, PA - The Latin Cultural Diversity Center (LCDC) is hosting the Second Annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration in the city of Scranton at Memorial Stadium on Providence Road across from Scranton High School on May 5, 2007 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. bringing the flavor of Spanish cuisine, entertainment, and activities for the whole community.
Special performances by: The Mariachi Tequila; Reggaeton newest Artist, Bolo Flow and Company; The LCDC Dancers; Scranton High’s Brown Sugar Steppers; The Keystone Stepping Team, and Scranton University’s U-Urban Beat Dancers. Some food vendors include: Sabor Aquadillano, Puerto Rican; and Best of Brazil, Brazilian.
Last year The LCDC Executive Director, Pedro Gonzalez, organized the first public community Cinco de Mayo celebration in the city of Scranton. Lackawanna County Commissioners Robert Cordaro and A.J. Munchak welcomed his efforts by officially recognizing the celebration into Lackawanna County. However, due to construction on the square, this year’s celebration was invited to be held at Scranton High School’s Memorial Stadium.
The Latin Cultural Diversity Center welcomes all communities, cities, and townships to this one day event filled with food, entertainment and activities for the whole family.
