Lackawanna County's Agricultural Land Preservation Board is appointed by the Board of Commissioners. Members serve staggered three-year terms and act as an advisory committee for the County's Conservation District Department.
Board Members
The Agricultural Land Preservation Board is made up of five individuals - one at-large representative, two farm owners, one elected municipal official and one contractor. There is currently one vacancy for the elected official position; and two (2) expired terms, one for a farmer and one for a developer.
The elected official must serve in one of the following municipalities: Benton Township, Covington Township, Greenfield Township, Jefferson Township, Madison Township, Newton Township, North Abington Township, Scott Township, Spring Brook Township, or Ransom Township.

- Chairperson Mary Liz Donato, Madison Twp. - At-Large Representative
- John Roba, Scott Twp. - Farm Owner
- Stan Wierzbicki, Greenfield Twp. - Contractor/Developer
- Brian P. Manning, North Abington Twp. - Farm Owner
Meetings
Agricultural Land Preservation Board meetings are held as needed at the Lackawanna County Conservation District Office, 1027 South Abington Road, South Abington TWP, PA 18411.
