Lackawanna County Industrial Development Authority
The Lackawanna County Industrial Development Authority (“LCIDA”) was incorporated by the County Commissioners pursuant to the Economic Development Law in September of 1969. The LCIDA is authorized to issue tax exempt bonds on behalf of eligible manufacturing, 501 C3 non-profit organizations, and certain tax “exempt” issues such as water and sewer utility facilities.
In addition, the LCIDA is empowered to be the issuer or applicant of certain economic development related programs permitted by the Internal Revenue Code, the Economic Development Law and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Under the programs eligible entities interested in expanding or locating in Lackawanna County can finance land, building, or associated machinery and equipment through the issuance of tax-exempt or taxable bonds, and through authorized programs.
The Semi-Annual Meeting of The Lackawanna County Industrial Development Authority will be held on Thursday, June 29th at 8:30am. The meeting will be held in the Commissioner’s Boardroom, on the 5th Floor of the Lackawanna County Gov’t Center, 123 Wyoming Avenue, Scranton, PA 18503.
Board Members
The Authority is made up of nine individuals, serving a five (5) year term each, and they must be from Lackawanna County.
There is one (1) vacancy currently, and five (5) expired terms; the existing board includes:

- Tim Booth, South Abington Twp
