Aylesworth Park

Nestled in the upper valley, Aylesworth Park was created as the result of a U.S. Army Corp of Engineers dam control project in 1970. Previously operated and maintained by the Aylesworth Creek Reservoir Park Authority – a volunteer organization formed by the boroughs of Archbald and Jermyn – the 252-acre park is now run by the Lackawanna County Parks and Recreation Department.

The picturesque location makes it a perfect spot for lake swimming, fishing, picnicking or a stroll around the new lake trail. The park features a multipurpose field, softball field, bocce court and horseshoe court. Aylesworth Park is easily accessible from the Casey Highway (U.S. Route 6). Take the Jermyn Exit and follow the signs for Aylesworth Park.
