Pool/Splash Pad
The Pool is OPEN!

The Lackawanna County Commissioners & the Lackawanna County Parks & Recreation Department officially opened the McDade Park Pool/Swim Complex on  August 9 with a brief ceremony. The pool will be open seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The is NO admission fee.

The $3.1 million project was done by D&M Construction Limited of Dalton. The project entailed the construction of: a new bath house, pool, restrooms, and pump house with a state-of-the-art mechanical system and equipment.

The pool features a zero-entry ramp area for disabled individuals to easily and safely access the water. The maximum pool depth is 8 feet.

JULY
Commissioner Chris Chermak cut the ribbon on the new Splash Pad at McDade Park on July 8. The Splash Pad is open seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Construction continues on the McDade Park pool with a goal of opening before the summer season ends. Pictured are the first children to enjoy the splash pad, and the progress on the newly designed pool and the new bathhouse.
