Commissioner Debi Domenick
DD
Attorney Debi Domenick, a life-long resident of Lackawanna County, is a graduate of Dunmore High School and The University of Scranton. Through her drive and determination to affect positive and substantial change within her community, Attorney Domenick completed her juris doctorate at The Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University. As a result of her commitment to the pursuit of legal justice, she graduated among the top 15% of her class and served as a clerk to U.S. District Judge Thomas I. Vanaskie.
After successfully completing her clerkship, Attorney Domenick gathered further legal practice experience as a civil litigation attorney with the O’Donnell Law Offices. Inspired by the impact of competent and effective legal services, Attorney Domenick established Domenick Law in 2011.
Although she found great success as a local, private attorney, Debi continued to server her community and those affected by financial strife as an Assistant Public Defender for Lackawanna County. Her service within the Lackawanna County Judicial System only further emphasized her devotion to being a fierce advocate for countless individuals and the struggles they endure, including an up-close view of the opioid crisis.
Debi’s decision to run for public office stemmed not only from her role as a legal advocate for the clients she represents, both publicly and privately, but also as a mother to her five-year-old son, Dylan.
Her desire to help others and compassion for the community have inspired her to become well-versed on policy and county business. Along with fighting for opioid and prison reform, and continuous monitoring of the county’s finances, Attorney Domenick proudly carries the torch for area women who view her as an agent of change.
