Turkish Coffee Night Slated For The Electric City Trolley Station & Museum

The flavor and flair of the Mediterranean is coming to Lackawanna County.

The County Arts & Culture Department is hosting a Turkish Coffee Night on Wednesday, March 18, beginning at 6 PM at the Electric City Trolley Station & Museum, 300 Cliff Street, on the property of The Steamtown National Historic Site.

The Scranton branch of the Turkish Cultural Center of Pennsylvania (TCCP) is a partner in this program, which will feature Turkish coffee and food and a brief presentation on Turkey.  The coffee night event represents the Arts & Culture Department’s commitment to diversity and cultural education.

The TCCP is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a strong bond and mutual respect among U.S. individuals and people of Turkish background.  This done through bringing people together in an open dialogue to introduce them to Turkish history, mores and culture.
