Lackawanna County Commissioners Laud 911 Dispatcher’s Life-Saving Measures

The Lackawanna County Commissioners presented a Certificate of Recognition to Dane Sorensen, inside right, a 911 Emergency Medical Dispatcher, for his efforts in saving a baby’s life. On March 19, Mr. Sorensen spent nearly six minutes on the phone directing a mother through CPR to save her child’s life. When help arrived at the family’s dwelling, the baby was breathing on its own.

L-r, Commissioner Patrick M. O’Malley, Commissioner Jim Wansacz, Mr. Sorensen, and Commissioner Edward G. Staback.
