Abington Senior Center Improvements Aided By Community Re-Invest Program

The Lackawanna County Commissioners awarded a total of $11,515 in Community Re-Invest funds to the Abington Senior Community Center to help defray a portion of its renovation project. The upgrades to the facility involved a walkway replacement, the purchase of new chairs, and the installation of new floor tiles. The goal of the Community Re-Invest initiative is to strengthen local neighborhoods by assisting them with funding for expansion or enhancement projects.
