Marine Joseph Silvestri Honored By Lackawanna County

Lackawanna County Commissioner Patrick M. O’Malley, inside right, presented a proclamation to Marine Joseph Silvestri, Delaware County, for his unwavering support to his friend and fellow soldier Lance Corporal James T. Reddington, who is buried at Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton. The two men served in Vietnam where Reddington was killed. For over 20 years, Mr. Silvestri has visited Lance Corporal Reddington’s grave with friends to pay their respects to a soldier who made the ultimate sacrifice.
