Commissioners Honor Trooper Alex Douglass

The Lackawanna County Commissioners recognized Trooper Alex Douglass with a proclamation for his perseverance, courage and commitment to a full recovery from the injuries he sustained in the line of duty. Trooper Douglass was severely wounded in an ambush on September 12, 2014 at the Blooming Grove State Police Barracks. A 10-year State Police veteran, Trooper Douglass is a recipient of the Pennsylvania State Police Purple Heart and is also an avid marathon runner and cyclist.
