811 Safe Digging Month Recognized

The Lackawanna County Commissioners designated April as Pennsylvania 811 Month. This program is part of the Pennsylvania One Call System and is designed to help prevent injuries and damage when excavating for underground utility work. The One-Call service has been in operation for 44 years and has assisted contractors in avoiding worker injuries, protecting the environment, and preventing damage to infrastructure.
