Commissioners Designate Travel & Tourism Week In The County

The Lackawanna County Commissioners designated May 1 – 7 as National Travel and Tourism Week in our community. The leisure/recreation sector has a tremendous impact on the world’s economy with people visiting historical sites, taking vacations or enjoying the great outdoors. This $2 trillion industry also has a positive effect on our local economy with people coming to our parks, museums, baseball stadium and other attractions.
