Veterans Affairs Department Volunteers Refurbish Jessup Tank

Lackawanna County Veterans Affairs Department staff, Tobyhanna Army Depot Retirees Breakfast Club volunteers and Jessup Borough Officials stand in front of the refurbished tank located on Hill Street. The volunteers and Robert Tuffy, Veterans Affairs Director, provided all of the labor for the project. They scraped, primed, patched, painted and decorated the tank over a two-week period. Paint was donated by Sherwin Williams, South Scranton. The Borough cut down trees and brush for better viability and also handled the landscaping.
