Steve Barcoski Retires With Recognition By Commissioners

Steve Barcoski, inside right, retired on October 18 after nearly 40 years of service to Lackawanna County. Mr. Barcoski began his career in 1977 as a staff accountant and then moved on to a variety of other positions, such as Director of Finance for Children & Youth Services, Director of the Revenue & Finance Department, interim Chief of Staff, and, his current post, Budget Director. A graduate of the University of Scranton, Steve was an integral member of the team that worked to establish a solid financial foundation for the County. An avid outdoorsman, Steve will fill his time with family, hunting and fishing. The Commissioners recognized Mr. Barcoski with a proclamation and a staff reception.
