Earl Granville’s Good Samaritan Assistance Recognition

Army staff sergeant Earl Granville, right, was presented with a framed photo of his kind act in carrying his race guide across the finish line at the 2017 Boston Marathon by the Lackawanna County Commissioners. Mr. Granville lost his left leg in 2008 in Afghanistan when he was hit by a roadside bomb. Sgt. Granville competed in his first Boston Marathon this year and has also participated in numerous other marathons using a hand bike.
