Lackawanna County Commissioners Honor 2017 Burne Honda Teacher Of The Year

The Lackawanna County Commissioners presented Abington Heights High School teacher Kerri Davis, center, a Taylor resident, with a Certificate of Recognition for being named the inaugural 2017 Matt Burne Honda Lackawanna County Teacher of the Year. Ms. Davis, who teaches social studies, American history and economics, was selected from over 200 nominations countywide. Davis, who was beset by several personal tragedies, was nominated by Madison Jarocha, who will receive a $2,5000 scholarship check.
