District acquires bulk material spreader to rent

The Lackawanna County Conservation District has purchased a Stoltzfus Redhawk, 5 ton capacity, bulk material spreader to rent out to our agricultural community!

Although the primary purpose of the machine is to apply agricultural lime, it can also be used for spreading commercial fertilizer, compost, wood shavings, and other materials that may provide an agronomic benefit to soils. This will provide a direct economic benefit to our farming community, while at the same time improving soil health and nutrient management!

As with our no-till drill rental program, the spreader will be rented on a first-come, first-served basis. Rental rate of the machine is $150.00 per day for use in Lackawanna County. Additional towing fees will apply for out-of-county users.

For more information or to rent the spreader, please contact Eric Johnson at 570-382-3086 or [email protected].
