Emerging Leaders in Agriculture

Penn State Extension’s Leadership Network will be hosting an Emerging Leaders in Agriculture Leadership Professional Development event on Thursday, November 14, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Dawson Building on the Penn State Scranton Campus in Dunmore.

This workshop is for any young or new farmer, rancher, agricultural worker or agribusiness employee looking for quality leadership professional development. The topics will include conflict resolution, trust, mindfulness, and team performance.

At the workshop, participants will be able to: network; learn effective conflict management skills to minimize the lingering effects of conflict in their respective organizations; hear about trust-based communication strategies to help assimilate a culture of trust with partners and collaborators; participate in practices to help improve well-being, relationships, and the work atmosphere; and gain practical skills to promote powerful team performance.

The registration deadline is Monday, November 11.  Refreshments will be provided.
