Kick COVID-19 Community Corps to Host Kick It to the Curb, a Celebration of Community Action

June 18 Vaccine Clinic & Free Fresh Food Market

 

Scranton, Pa., June 9, 2021 – Kick Covid Community Corps (“Community Corps”) is hosting Kick it to the Curb, a Celebration of Community Action, on Friday, June 18, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Scranton Cultural Center. The event features a free vaccine clinic for ages 12 and older, and a free fresh food market, where guests can select from a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, milk, meat and other products, plus prizes and giveaways. Anyone who has not yet received a COVID-19 vaccine is encouraged to attend.

 

Appointments can be made at https://bit.ly/3nakIgR. Transportation assistance will be available throughout the day. Those who need help scheduling a vaccine (including medically homebound residents in Lackawanna County) and/or transportation to the event should call 211. Walk-ins are also welcome.

 

Delta Medix, Commonwealth Health – Moses Taylor Hospital, and volunteer licensed practitioners with the Lackawanna County Medical Society will administer the vaccines. Those under age 18 will receive the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine, which will require a second dose in July, while anyone age 18 and older may choose between the Pfizer two-dose and Johnson & Johnson one-dose vaccines.

Hometown Health Care of NEPA will be hosting another clinic for first doses of the Pfizer vaccine on Wednesday, April
28, at The Pavilion at Montage Mountain from 8 AM to 6 PM. This clinic is open to everyone aged 16 years and up, and it
is by APPOINTMENT ONLY.

Appointments are available for first doses of the Pfizer vaccine at The Pavilion at Montage Mountain on Wednesday, April 28.

Ages 16 + older are eligible for vaccination.

Second doses will be administered in exactly 21 days on Wednesday, May 19.

Delta Medix in Conjunction with Lackawanna County will be holding a COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Saturday, April 10, at Montage Mountain

Delta Medix in conjunction with Lackawanna County will be holding a COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Saturday, April 10, at The Pavilion at Montage Mountain in Scranton.

The clinic will be held from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM for individuals who qualify under Phase 1B. There are 1,400 Johnson & Johnson vaccines available for distribution. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is a one-time shot, meaning no second shot is required.

Those interested in scheduling an appointment can call 570-800-7517, leave a voicemail, and the call will be returned to make an appointment. People can also schedule online at www.deltamedix.com or can go directly to the online form here. Once the registration form is received, you will receive a call to schedule an appointment time. The clinic is by appointment only.
