Healthcare

Healthcare investments of nearly $400 million by the Commonwealth Medical College, Geisinger Health Systems, Commonwealth Health Systems, and the Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education have redefined Lackawanna County's position as national healthcare educator and provider. Combined there are twenty-one hospitals and 1,000 patient-treating physicians in Northeast Pennsylvania.
