Wilkes-Barre Scranton International Airport

The Wilkes-Barre Scranton International Airport offers daily direct service to Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Detroit, Newark, Orlando, and Philadelphia with one-stop service to hundreds of destinations worldwide. The Airport is managed by a dual Lackawanna and Luzerne County board who equally contributed to $105 million of terminal, tower, and runway upgrades over the past 7 years. The Airport also support cargo service of Air Net, FedEx, UPS, and Wiggins.

Location in the I-80/I-81 Corridor

As a major gateway to the Northeast, Lackawanna County is strategically located on the I-80/I-81 Corridor where its businesses are within overnight delivery of 96 million American and Canadian consumers. Interstates 81, 80, 476, 84, and 380 and the Casey Highway converge in Lackawanna County.

Other Intermodal Transportation

Lackawanna County receives rail service by two Class-1 main line carriers: Canadian Pacific & Norfolk Southern. Several business parks within Lackawanna County have pre-existing rail infrastructure. Martz Trailways and Greyhound offer daily routes to New York, Philadelphia, New Jersey, and throughout Pennsylvania from the bus terminal in Scranton.
