On July 4, 2026, communities across the nation will join to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our great nation. Partnership events like concerts, parades, ceremonies, and gatherings will take place as part of the celebration led by America250PA, a coalition of public and private partners working to create initiatives and programs that honor our first 250 years and inspire us to think about our next 250 years. This multiyear effort to commemorate the semi-quincentennial celebration of our nation's 250th starts NOW.

On July 6, 2022 the Lackawanna County Commissioners signed a Resolution to support America250PA.
